Voucher Verification

Every Redeemio voucher is protected by multiple layers of security to prevent fraud and duplication.

How verification works

  1. Each voucher has a unique alphanumeric code (e.g. PD-50-A7F3-SECURE)
  2. A secure QR code links to the voucher's live status page
  3. Venue staff scan the QR code or enter the code to verify authenticity
  4. The system checks the voucher is active, not expired, and not already redeemed
  5. A full audit trail records every lookup and redemption attempt

For venue staff

Staff use the Redeemio redemption screen at /redeem on the venue's voucher domain. Scan the QR code or enter the voucher code. The system displays the voucher status, remaining balance, and any use restrictions.

Anti-fraud measures

  • Token hashing — QR codes contain cryptographic tokens, not raw database IDs
  • Location restrictions — vouchers can be restricted to specific venues
  • Expiry enforcement — expired vouchers are automatically blocked
  • Audit trail — every lookup and redemption is logged with staff identity and timestamp
  • Duplicate prevention — a voucher can only be redeemed once (or partially up to its remaining value)
